Kenneth D. Carrick, Jr. is celebrating his 30th anniversary with Coleman Lew + Associates this month. Carrick, who serves as president and managing director, has had a major role in the growth of Coleman Lew + Associates, Inc.
He has been instrumental in building the firm’s education/government/nonprofit sector, said company founder Chuck Lew. In addition, Lew said Carrick has provided “extraordinary search work for many longstanding clients in the commercial sector and led the firm into the PENRHYN cooperative network, which has proved a beneficial partnership for both parties.”
“Ken has been by my side for most of the years I’ve been in business,” continued Lew. “He’s been a trusted associate, smart and capable partner and a good friend. I’ve always relied on his counsel and am grateful we will continue to.”

He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Catawba College – where he played center on the football team – and earned an MBA from Wake Forest University. He began his career as an accountant with Duke Energy and later worked for a national insurance company before joining Coleman Lew in 1986.
Carrick was recently appointed to a three-year term on the Mecklenburg County Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board. He is an active volunteer with Carolinas Exceptional Youth Athletes, a group dedicated to special-needs athletes, serves on the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation Board (formerly the S.C. Birth Defects Foundation) and the Americas Council Board of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and is a past member of the board of directors of the Greater Carolinas’ chapter of the American Red Cross and Covenant Day School.
