Senior Vice President, Marketing and Omni-Channel Operations

National retailer headquartered in the western US.

REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:
This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and lead a team of 30.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing and Omni-Channel Operations will be responsible for developing marketing policies, programs, and systems across digital and traditional marketing channels to support strategic direction and aligning business plans with organizational objectives across our national footprint. The SVP of Marketing and Omni-Channel Operations will direct and oversee the Marketing and Omni-Channel departments with a significant role in shaping the company’s strategic planning, ensuring the marketing and omni-channel activities contribute to the company’s long-term success.

Specific duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive cross channel marketing plan to increase brand awareness in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Direct implementation and execution of marketing and service policies and practices.
  • Ensure marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives, and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with the Executive Team.
  • Provide leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations, and partnership arrangements.
  • Provide leadership and support for the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines.
  • Provide leadership and support for the omni-channel operations team including product item management (PIM) and order sourcing and fulfillment logic.
  • Provide leadership and support including revamping current go-to-market strategies for the Company’s loyalty, credit card, and other warranty type services.
  • Set current and long-term goals for internal teams.
  • Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative public relations strategies.
  • Plan, monitor, and improve, when necessary, all marketing campaigns to include effective marketing events, materials, and resources.
  • Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the Executive Team.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of the company’s objectives.
  • Oversee and direct market research, competitor analyses, and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives.
  • Forecast hiring needs for the Marketing and omni-channel departments.
  • Build, develop, and manage a Marketing and omni-channel team capable of carrying out marketing and service strategies.
  • Manage development and distribution of all marketing collateral, including photo, print, and digital resources.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in progressive responsibility as a senior marketing leader in a retail company.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and research and development.
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree required or master’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.

COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience including a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, and competitive benefits package.
