Regional Operations Director – East Division
COMPANY:
Privately held international operator of consumer services/retail locations.
REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:
The Regional Operations Director – East Division is directly accountable for 12 centers across North Carolina and South Carolina.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Regional Operations Director (ROD) is responsible for financial, operational, and brand execution leadership across a designated region. The ROD helps drive all key strategic operational initiatives. Importantly, the ROD is expected to set the tone for the organization and support future growth through his/her effort, visibility, and energetic leadership.
Specific duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
- Work with Center Directors directly while coordinating with other supporting functions to combine maximum enrollment with effective cost control to produce profit.
- Build a culture of excellence by developing and leading a high-performing team that provides best-in-class programming and superior customer service to all customers.
- Maintain full compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements in accordance with corporate policies and local requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure all school equipment, facilities, and operating practices meet standards.
- Ensure that current customers, through NPS results, help increase the impact of the brand to drive future enrollments.
- Increase staff engagement, retention, and development levels to improve organizational readiness for future growth.
- Perform monthly business reviews to ensure performance and make key strategic decisions as needed to deliver on the company’s financials; effectively engage with the Senior Management Team in order to align required resources to drive continuing results.
- Utilize a hands-on, engaged approach to leading the region including appropriate staffing levels and financial performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum ten years’ experience within a fast-paced, growth-oriented B2C multi-unit business with a particular focus on service delivery excellence through many staff.
- Proven ability to deliver operational results in tough operating environments, including staffing challenges post-Covid.
- Demonstrated sustainable effort, grit, and stick-to-it-ness, starting with superior educational success; successful candidate will likely have a four-year degree in a discipline such as business, economics, or science.
- Effective relationship builder with a wide range of staff leaders, staff, and customers; empathy is a strong suit.
- Likes being in the middle of the action, not afraid to make tough decisions, and enjoys seeing others grow and succeed.
- Entrepreneurial, growth mindset with the ability to take on additional responsibility over time.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience including a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, and competitive benefits package.
