A Dillon, SC native, Melanie earned her B.A. in English from South Carolina State University. She began her career as a legal word processor before joining the International Federation of Accountants, where she worked in intellectual property and later communications, helping produce clear, publication-ready technical materials for global accounting standards boards.

Today, Melanie serves as a Business Support Specialist at Coleman Lew Canny Bowen, where she keeps internal processes organized and teams equipped to work efficiently.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys watercolor painting, spending time with her golden retriever, Appa, exploring Charlotte’s bookstores and farmers’ markets, and discovering artisan goods from local businesses. She’s a longtime clarinet player who’s giving the guitar an honest, if slow-going, effort, and an avid reader — especially of Stephen King, whose novels are never far from reach.
