Chief Executive Officer
COMPANY:
A family of residential exterior renovation brands in the Midwest.
REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:
This position will report directly to the Board of Directors and lead the executive team.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for driving growth through strategic leadership of the company, with ultimate responsibility and accountability for all functional areas of the business. This individual will be expected to steward the company to a sustainable value creation trajectory that funds the development of the business, increases equity value over time, and delivers appropriate levels of cash distributions and returns on invested capital.
Specific duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
- Define and drive the long-term vision and strategic roadmap aligned with the company’s investment thesis.
- Drive organic and inorganic growth through geographic expansion, service line diversification, and strategic M&A, providing active leadership in due diligence and integration of add-on acquisitions.
- Provide hands-on operational leadership to branch and regional managers, driving accountability and results at every level.
- Drive initiatives and scalable systems to improve margin, labor efficiency, job profitability, and cycle times.
- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team with a performance-oriented culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, results, and employee engagement at all levels of the organization.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive succession planning and talent development framework to ensure leadership continuity, strengthen organizational capability, and foster professional growth at all levels of the company.
- Champion safety, customer services, and ethical business practices company wide.
- Drive the financial performance of the company, achieving sustained EBITDA and cash flow growth; ensure reporting accuracy and capital discipline.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance KPIs by market and division.
- Lead the development and execution of data-driven growth strategies, pricing-optimization initiatives, and market expansion plans to accelerate revenue and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Protect and grow the brands’ reputation through excellent customer service and local execution.
- Lead initiatives to improve customer experience, communication, and service delivery.
- Manage relationships with all strategic vendors, including lead generation and subcontractor trade partners.
- Manage the company’s supplier relationships and advance strategic sourcing initiatives to take advantage of company-wide volume purchases.
- Deliver timely and transparent reporting to the Crane Group on business performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Represent the company externally with various stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven CEO or senior executive experience with full P&L ownership in a consumer services/retail multi-site operations business (home services preferred but not required); prior responsibility for both field and central functions.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve consistent, moderate, profitable growth through execution of existing strategies and tactics; ability to pursue and execute new strategies, preferred.
- Ability to drive the sales team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Consumer (mostly) sales and marketing excellence.
- Strong operational and financial fluency, comfortable driving performance metrics.
- Proven experience developing and cascading strategic plans and building management processes that drive performance and accountability.
- Strong command of data and analytics and a track record of leveraging data to make decisions, drive growth strategies, and deliver financial performance.
- Experience managing a distributed workforce and multi-site P&Ls.
- A “culture leader” with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
- Experience with M&A processes and integration.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience including a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, and competitive benefits package.
