Chief Executive Officer
COMPANY:
Privately held specialty manufacturing company based in the Southeast US serving the printing and packaging industries.
REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:
This position will report directly to the company’s board of advisors and CEO.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
This role requires an experienced, forward-thinking, and results-driven executiveto lead our highly specialized manufacturer, which serves the niche printing, packaging, and narrow/wide web processing industries. This executive will guide a precision-focused business that provides engraving and embossing solutions essential to high-quality printing and processing applications. This leader must be able to drive growth, promote operational excellence, and foster strong customer partnerships.
Specific duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
- Provide strategic direction and vision for sustainable, profitable growth; ultimately responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial performance.
- Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and partnerships.
- Lead by example with a hands-on, transparent, and inclusive leadership style.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture rooted in clear expectations, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage lean methodologies and appropriate technology to scale and optimize output, increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality without compromising standards.
- Support and strengthen key customer relationships through direct engagement and responsiveness.
- Partner with sales teams to develop strategies that drive growth in existing and new markets.
- Maintain a client-centric approach to all aspects of the business, ensuring responsiveness and satisfaction.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal health.
- Manage vendor relationships, pricing strategy, and capital investments aligned with growth and profitability goals.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:

- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in specialized engraving and printing preferred.
- Proven success as a President, CEO, GM, or similar executive role in a small- to mid-size company.
- Strong operational and financial acumen with a track record of streamlining and scaling businesses.
- Deep understanding of laser engraving, embossing, or precision industrial manufacturing (industry experience preferred; related industries acceptable).
- Direct, honest communicator who leads with clarity, empathy, and decisiveness.
- Comfortable navigating both high-level strategy and day-to-day operational details.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, including a competitive base salary, annual bonus opportunity, and competitive benefits package.
