Serena
But, wait! There's more.

Serena’s busy work and school schedule leave her little free time, but she always makes time for friends, family, and her golden retriever/poodle mix, Reesie.

She loves to sing, dance, and cook – sometimes all at once! She’s active in her church, including teaching young children during Sunday service and praise singing.

Serena Pridgen

Serena Pridgen is Coleman Lew Canny Bowen’s Charlotte office’s “rock star” intern for 2021. The Fayetteville native is a student at Queens University of Charlotte and expects to graduate with a major in business administration and a double minor in pre-law and data analytics in 2023.

She’s getting experience working with the federal government. She’s been an intern for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and she’s currently a Federal Student Ambassador for the Department of State, where she shares knowledge with other college students across the country via live events and social media. In that role, she’s also involved in seminars that include how to navigate the USAJOBs website, how to prepare an effective federal resume, and more.

She’s already managed people. At Food Lion in Fayetteville, she was a supervisor overseeing a team of seven. Even as a high school student, Serena worked 30 to 35 hours a week.
