Gabrielle Kelly
Gabi is a litigator by trade. She brings the skills of problem-solving under pressure, persuasive communication, and sound judgment to the Coleman Lew Canny Bowen team. The former state prosecutor spent over 17 years at the District Attorney’s Office in Charlotte.
She prosecuted a wide range of cases, including domestic violence and homicide, before serving as the team leader of the Habitual Felon Unit.
Gabi earned her law degree from Wake Forest University.
The Lenoir-Rhyne University alum serves on the Board of Trustees for her alma mater, from which she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in political science and German. She was a scholarship athlete and captain of the volleyball team.
She is a graduate and past committee chair of the Bar Leadership Institute, which helps lawyers develop their professional and leadership skills within the Mecklenburg County Bar and the greater community. Gabi also shares her time and talents through church ministries that provide care for children with special needs.
Gabi – who grew up in a military family – and her husband like to travel, and she especially enjoys playing volleyball on some of the world’s best beaches.
