After Dowling earned her master’s degree in counseling education, she worked for the Chemical Dependency Center (now Anuvia), Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Mecklenburg County Youth and Family Services, and Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Dowling stepped away from full-time counseling to start a family. While her children were young, she worked in part-time administrative support roles before joining the firm in 2017.

The Greensboro, NC native and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill alum has held several roles – in stewardship, finance, and youth ministries – at local churches.

Dowling volunteers with the Carmel Middle School and South Mecklenburg High School PTAs, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Charlotte Rescue Mission, and the YMCA. She and her husband have three daughters.
