REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:

This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President and will build and lead a team.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

As a new role and function within TLLF, the individual who occupies this position will lead the design, creation, and development of the research and evaluation function, serving both internal and external stakeholders.

Specific duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to:

  • Identify, develop, and present the organization’s Key Performance Metrics in close cooperation with program/mission area leaders and investment teams.
  • Develop the organization’s modeling capability to convert the data sets into actionable business insights spanning all aspects of the business.
  • Manage technology and processes for data collection, data hygiene, data organization, and visualization for internal and external use.
  • Lead the recruitment, retention, and development of all departmental staff; conduct regular and professional performance management in partnership with TLLF talent practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with key leadership and staff members across the organization, including program staff, support functions, and investment team members to clearly measure and forecast community-level impact.
  • Lead the development and presentation of actionable data to external community partners and local/state officials.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the mission, vision, and values of TLLF and be able to express them clearly and represent them internally, to potential grantees and to the public.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience in data science, insight, or research in a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated builder of data and insight capabilities – has championed and led the creation of distinct and significant capabilities within organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience including a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, and competitive benefits package.
