COMPANY:
National provider of commercial construction services.

REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:
The Chief Executive Officer reports to the parent company CEO and leads a team of General Managers.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The company is hiring a Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), responsible for driving growth through the strategic leadership of the company. As CEO, you will be responsible for all functional areas of the business in partnership with the parent company’s leadership team. The CEO, in cooperation with the broader team, will be responsible for the following key initiatives in order to maximize shareholder value:

Strategic Leadership

  • Manage, build, and optimize the company’s reputation while driving profitable growth.
  • Build domain expertise and serve as a thought leader in the aquatic construction industry.
  • Understand and optimize prices and margins within the current service offering.
  • Drive revenue through existing sales functions while leading geographic expansion of existing brands.


Recruitment, Talent Development, and Organizational Design

  • Assess the organization to determine the optimal use of resources.
  • Define and implement an appropriate organizational design that leverages scale and enables shared corporate services while simultaneously enabling nimble market operations and preserving in-market brand equity.
  • Develop the team to support growth and scale.


Performance and Process Improvement

  • Optimize operational capabilities through process improvement in key operational areas, including job conversion, field operations, estimating, project management, and overall service delivery to include:
  • Leverage technology to enhance existing processes.
  • Implement systems and operational processes to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Improve operating productivity to drive cash collection velocity and lower cost structure.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute objectives and key results tied to the achievement of overall growth objectives.
  • Hold functional leaders and operators accountable for meeting those goals.
  • Identify key performance indicators to manage business outcomes and reduce performance variability.
  • When results vary negatively from the plan, identify the variance early and correct the root cause quickly.


Relationship Management

  • Effectively manage relationships with all strategic vendors, including subcontractor trade partners.
  • Effectively manage the company’s supplier relationships and advance strategic sourcing initiatives.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a P&L leader in a high-performing aquatics construction business, preferably for a multibranch operation across both renovation and new construction.
  • Strong general management skillset with an ability to drive results across all aspects of the P&L.
  • A history of successfully building effective cultures and talent.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with an ability to present effectively to executive leadership, customers, vendors, and team members in various professional and social settings.
  • An analytical mind that is comfortable with numbers and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge and comfort with the M&A process and post-closing integration.
  • Experience establishing effective management protocols in a geographically dispersed and rapidly growing business.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus.


COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, including a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, long-term incentive, and a competitive benefits package.
