February 6, 2019 – Darrell Johnson, Greenwood County School District 50 Superintendent, announced his impending retirement in December. District 50’s Board of Trustees interviewed three firms then voted unanimously to select Coleman Lew Canny Bowen to conduct the search for Johnson’s replacement.
Board Chairman David Trent said “Coleman Lew stood out with its commitment to gaining community input via forums and surveys.
“They seem to really bring a lot of expertise and a lot of their service in engaging the community,” he said. “Ultimately the decision is the Board’s, but we need help in hearing everybody out there in the community in what they think the profile of an ideal candidate is.”
