Charles E. Lew
Chuck founded Coleman Lew + Associates, a predecessor firm to Coleman Lew Canny Bowen, in 1979. Over nearly 39 years and more than 375 search engagements, he earned a national reputation within the search industry. The majority of his searches involved recruiting CEOs, presidents, and general managers or their direct reports.
Chuck earned a BS from The Ohio State University and pursued graduate studies at Xavier University. Prior to founding Coleman Lew, he was general manager of an office products company and later a recruiter in the Columbus, Ohio office of a national recruitment firm.
Chuck is a US Marine combat veteran who served in Vietnam. He and his wife have four grown children.
He retired from Coleman Lew in July 2018, but Shana Plott and her team continue to run the firm using the values Chuck insisted on: Do great work. Have the utmost integrity. Be thorough. Err on the side of over-communicating. Hire only the best.
